About

In the heart of Calle Ocho. Our house is located 1 block away from Calle Ocho, 2 blocks from Ball and Chain and Parque del Domino. The house is a bungalow style that was built in the 1920s. Your room is very private and you have a large closet and smart TV with good WIFI. We also have a nice patio in the back if you need to take a break from the hustle and bustle. You will feel right at home.

Good to know

The house was originally built in 1923 and it is a bungalow style. We have a front porch, a side patio, back porch and patio. The main house has two large living rooms and a kitchen that you are welcome to use.

We aim to make your stay as pleasant and convenient as possible but we fully expect all our guests to follow the following rules: - Quiet hours from 9pm - 9am. - Impolite language is completely unacceptable. - Please be mindful and courteous of our all neighbors.. - We reserve the right to ask any guest for identification. - As much as we try to minimize inconvenience, things in the units might break, we will be available and make repairs within 24 hours of receiving your request. If we fail to respond or are unable to remedy the issue we will work to relocate you or refund you at our discretion. - Please read carefully the cancellation policy as we will not be making modifications. - Unless explicitly stated, if your unit has street parking it is always on a first come, first served basis. - All our rooms are non-smoking, if the cleaning crew determines that the guests smoked in the room there will be a fee of $150. - Bugs and Critters: please note that we routinely spray our property for bugs and critters. Howerver if you do come across any little critters please keep in mind that Florida is a Subtropical Climate. To help prevent this keep all windows and doors closed at all times. - We perform regular maintenance in all our properties, rarely do we require access to the rooms but there are times at which we do (ie pest control, ac maintenance, etc); in those cases we would let you know ahead of time.

Neighborhood

What we now call Little Havana is one of the oldest neighborhoods of the CIty of Miami; initially called Riverside for its proximity to the Miami River it became important for its proximity to Tamiami Trail (the only road from Tampa to Miami and hence the Ta-Miami name). With the large Cuban migration of the 50's it got the name of Little Havana. It is a very pedestrian friendly neighborhood and the houses all have a different unique styles, ranging from Mediterranean to Art Deco. On 8th street you will find Ball and Chain, Cuba Ocho, Tower Theater and some nice Cuban restaurants. There are also gift shops and Art Studio's along Calle Ocho.

Find us

There is a free Trolley that runs on 8th street and goes all the way to Coral Gables to the west and Downtown to the East. Once in Downtown you can connect to the Metro Rail, Metro Mover or the bus system. Miami is also very ride share friendly so you will find lots of Lyft and Uber availability.
